Reflection lesson 4(Basic Concepts on Integrating Technology in Instruction)

Basic Concepts on Integrating Technology in Instruction

There no lingering issue on how educational technology is integrated in the teaching learning process. This is due to the fact that the mere use of computer does not mean technology has already been integrated in instruction. There is no integrative process if for instance the teacher makes students play computer games to give them a rest period during classes.
When our teacher let us take some rest from our class s/he use the some computer games which is related to our topic just like puzzle, bookworm, Bonnie’s bookstore and reader’s digest super words, because this games would help us to widen our vocabulary. In taking an English subject it is very important for us as a student to have a lot of vocabulary on our mind because we meet different unfamiliar words when we read a certain selection.
It is good that the teacher let the students play an educational computer games because they already integrate the technology in learning and the students can develop their skills in thinking or formulate different kinds of words based on the computer game that the teacher let them to play. Through the computer game the students can recall the meaning of the words that they met during the game because it was being presented creatively.
All of the computer games that we learned from our class are very useful because we can apply it during the motivation for the new lesson of the class because it is the very first thing that the students can be interested in listening or to do the different task during the discussion of the topic, it is not only useful in motivation but also in evaluation.
